ELECTRONICS - Younes Bou Khazam
WHAT IS IT LIKE MAJORING IN ELECTRONICS AT AKU - AL KAFAAT UNIVERSITY
While studying at AKU, I majored in Electronics.
The courses I took gave me a broad vision on the major, especially Networking, Automation, Telecommunications and Microprocessors. I have also enjoyed the elective courses I took, in Theater and English Communication.
My final project, "Remote control of a smart home", has pushed me to extend my research on the subject and apply all my skills learned at the university to complete it.
Those experiences have expanded my knowledge. I learned how to program a router. I understood how antennas work. I found out how microchips are made. And overall, it gave me a certain way of thinking that eased the daily problems I face at work, at home or in class.
I am more logical and methodical in my approach. It is easier for me to organize my tasks and communicate with my colleagues now. And my research is by far faster and more concentrated. All those qualities help me now in the pursuit of the Masters Degree I am studying for.
Electronics at AKU is not about boring physics and abstract theory; it is about embracing technology that we use every day, and AKU always prepares you for the real world.
