Admission requirements

Candidates must have obtained a Lebanese Baccalaureate or an equivalent diploma and pass the entrance exam.


Learning objectives

The department of Computer Science prepares students for advanced study and professional careers in the dynamically changing world of computing and information technology. The BS program aims to produce graduates with a solid foundation in computers and computational systems: their theory, design, development, and application. Principal areas within computer science include artificial intelligence, computer systems and networks, database systems, human factors, networks, numerical analysis, programming languages, software engineering, and theory of computing. Students are trained for the use of fundamental principles and ideas (data structures, algorithms, calculus, logic) for analysis and problem solving, and disciplined development of modern software system.

Computer Science graduates will find employment as Computer programmers, Software developers, Web developers, Software engineers, Database administrators (DBAs) and Network administrators.
